
I have managed communication through numerous crises. Over the last 20 years, I handled messaging related to hurricanes, loss of life, floods, power outages, legal issues, evacuations and company reorganizations. I helped develop coordination teams and protocols for significant events and assessed customer feedback using focus-groups and surveys. I developed marketing campaigns to ease audience concerns and to educate the public on safety and resources. These communications include interacting with radio stations, giving televised interviews and interacting with local law enforcement. Through education and experience, I learned how to anticipate and prepare for issues, and how to develop communication and safety procedures that can be adapted to almost any situation.
